The 158-acre South Lakes Regional Park, 4210 SW 119, is Oklahoma City's first new regional park in twenty years. It opened August 31, 2004.

Park Features Include:

• Large playground with climbers, swings, benches and play area with a sailing motif and rubber safety surface
• 1-1/4 miles of walking trails
• 3 picnic shelters with tables
• 8 half-court basketball goals
• Wood pedestrian bridge across west pond
• Waterfall feature with natural boulders near pedestrian bridge
• New soccer concession building with restrooms (made from split face block)
• The park’s two lakes will open to anglers in the fall of 2005
• Future Phases will be developed over the next 7-10 years and may include the following amenities:
  • Arboretum and garden area
  • Small skate court area
  • Additional athletic fields
  • Covered basketball courts
  • Picnic areas
  • Additional trails

Soccer at South Lakes Park

South Lakes Park is home to 16 full-size soccer fields – all administered by the South Lakes Soccer Club. The soccer club administers youth programs, leagues and tournaments throughout the year. During the summer of 2007, South Lakes hosted over 10,000 soccer players and supporters from 11 states in the Southern US for the US Youth Soccer Association's Southern Regional Soccer Tournament. 

South Lakes Event Center

The South Lakes Event Center is a 3,000 square foot community room that can be rented on an hourly basis for business meetings, reunions, weddings, community events, office parties, etc.  The rental fee is $120 for the first 3 hours and $40 for each additional hour.  A $200 cleaning deposit is required.  Reservations can be accepted up to one year prior to the event.
