(June 25, 2012) - People interested in learning about sustainable
agricultural practices are invited to attend a free class, “Advances in
Sustainable Agriculture,” from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at the
OSU-OKC campus in the Agricultural
Resources Center, Room 196.
Presenter Gregory Scott, State Soil Scientist from the United States
Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service
(USDA-NRCS), will discuss sustainable farming practices, principals of soil
health and provide an online demonstration of the web soil survey tool to
highlight how to look up and download soil information.
The class is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
Lunch is not provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own
lunch.
