(September 24, 2009) - The western basin of the Oklahoma River between Walker and May will be drained from October 12-17 so crews can complete construction of a maintenance facility for the City’s river maintenance boats and Oklahoma River Cruisers.
The facility will include docks, fueling station, potable water supply, sewage pump out station, shore power and an ADA compliant ramp.
The $1.47 million project is being funded through federal grants, COTPA,
City of Oklahoma City and Recovery Act.
The basin should be refilled on or about October 17 and the maintenance facility should be completed by October 31.
