(September 10, 2009) - The public is invited to a free lecture and discussion about historical architectural surveys at 4 p.m., September 14 in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 N Walker. The event is hosted by Oklahoma City’s Planning Department.
Historian and preservation consultant Cathy Ambler, Ph.D., will present the lecture. Ambler will explain the types of historical surveys and talk about why it’s important to use architectural surveys to document a City’s history.
Ambler is currently conducting an intensive survey of Downtown Tulsa, including its mid-century modern architecture.
This is the last in a series of three lectures planned as a part of the Oklahoma City Planning Department’s Historic Preservation Commission Summer Lecture Series.
