Mother’s Day themed craft class offered at Myriad Gardens

(April 16, 2008) - The Myriad Botanical Gardens is teaming up with local fiber artist Elia Woods to offer a Mother’s Day themed craft class.  The class will create a beautiful and original card for mom just in time for Mother’s Day.

The Mother’s Day card making class is offered May 3 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Myriad Gardens’ education center.

During the class, students will learn how to make an original pop-up card with botanical touches using organic materials and recycled papers.

Registration for the class is $15 for Myriad Gardens Foundation members and $20 for all others.  Registration is required.  The class is open to all ages; children under 12 should bring an adult.  Call the Gardens at (405) 297-3995 to register by Monday, April 28.  Space is limited, so sign up early!

Elia Woods is a local artist who also teaches classes at City Arts Center, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and through the Metro Library system.
