City Bond election meeting scheduled for Ward 7

(November 26, 2007) - A community meeting regarding the City’s 2007 bond program will be held for Ward 7 residents at 6:30 p.m. on December 3 at the Urban League, 3900 N Martin Luther King.

City staff will explain each of the 11 propositions that will appear on the December 11 ballot and answer questions about the proposed bond program.  If passed the 2007 bond program will provide $835.5 million in long-term funding for the City’s infrastructure without raising City property taxes.

The bond propositions were set based on feedback from the 2006 citizen survey, City Council strategic priorities, city manager and department priorities and impact on the operating budget.
