Former Mayor Ron Norick, American Fidelity Assurance (AFA) CEO Bill Cameron, City Councilman and River Trustee Gary Marrs, artist Greg Burns and members of the Oklahoma Riverfront Redevelopment Authority.
WHAT:
The first in a series of bridges crossing tributaries of the Oklahoma River will be dedicated in a ceremony honoring AFA founder C.W. Cameron at 2 p.m. on December 3. Former Mayor Ron Norick will unveil a plaque and present Bill Cameron with an original painting of the C.W. Cameron Bridge created by artist Greg Burns.
The Riverfront Redevelopment Authority’s “Name the Bridge” program recognizes civic and community leaders while raising funds for the Oklahoma River and trails. The American Fidelity Foundation donated $40,000 to the Oklahoma River Foundation, an endowment established to benefit River projects.
WHERE:
The bridge is west of the Chesapeake Boathouse on the northern bank of the Oklahoma River. Parking is available at the Chesapeake Boathouse.
