(November 1, 2007) - Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is searching for loving owners for their four legged residents during the shelter’s “Home 4 the Holidays” adoption campaign, November 3 through January 3.
“Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is proud to join efforts with 2,600 shelters around the world to host the “Home 4 the Holidays” adoption campaign. Our goal is to adopt 415,000 animals worldwide. Locally, we hope to place all of our adoptable pets in homes over the next three months,” said Superintendent Catherine English.
The “Home 4 the Holidays” event kicks off with half price adoptions – only $25 – from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 at the following PetSmart locations:
The $25 adoption special is good through January 3.
In addition, the Animal Shelter is hosting its inaugural Pet Photo Contest in conjunction with the “Home for the Holidays” campaign. Entries will be accepted now through January 3, 2008. Forms can be picked up at the Animal Shelter or downloaded from the City’s Web site at www.okc.gov. Winning photos will be displayed both on the City’s Web site and at the shelter.
The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter is located at SE 29 and Bryant. Adoption hours are noon to 5:45 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, call 297-3100.
