MAYOR CORNETT, DUPONT AND USCM BRING
SCIENCE IN THE SCHOOL DAY
TO THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA CITY

WHO: Mayor Mick Cornett and DuPont field engineer, Mary Yin and 75 fourth grade students from Coronado Heights Elementary school will participate in Oklahoma City’s Science in the School Day event.
WHAT: Mayor Cornett will work side-by-side with Ms. Yin and students as they construct “puff mobile” devices out of everyday materials like paper clips, tape, paper and lifesavers.
WHEN: Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m.

WHY: In an effort to promote the importance of science education to today’s schoolchildren, the Science in the School Day “puff mobile” experiment will be conducted at Coronado Heights Elementary School. The “puff mobile” experiment is a hands-on project that introduces and encourages students to consider careers in science and engineering. More than 75 children will partake in Oklahoma City’s Science in the School Day.
