(May 15, 2006) – Enrollment is open for a variety of summer camps offered through the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department. The camps offer a range of summer activities at area recreation centers and the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
Kids ages 6-12 can stay active and have fun this summer by registering for summer camps offered at three City Community Centers. Sellers and Southern Oaks offer morning and afternoon camp sessions. Northwest Optimist offers a performing arts camp, no experience is needed. Call the number below to register and for more information. Camps fill quickly.

Children ages 6 to 16 can take to the stage this summer at Northwest Optimist Community Center, 3301 NW Grand. The day camps, which run in two-week sessions, introduce young artists to singing, dancing, acting and play production that culminates in a stage performance. Four sessions will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning June 19. Each session ranges in price from $120 to $140. Call 297-3386 for more information.

Sprouts ages 7 to 12 can grow their garden know-how July 17 – 21 at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is $30 and includes tuition, Crystal Bridge admission, plant ecology information and gardening gear. Call 297-3995 for more information.
