Scouts to help with Brown Bag Pet special preparations

(April 17, 2006) – Girl Scouts will be at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 30 to help stuff brown bags with free extras for pet adopters at the upcoming “Brown Bag Pet Adoption Special” sponsored by the Shelter and Petsmart.

The bags will be filled with free gifts such as collars, leashes and pet toys for those adopting pets at the event.

The Shelter’s “Brown Bag Pet Special” will be the following weekend – Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 at the Petsmart store at I-40 & MacArthur. All pets from the shelter with brown on them will be available for only $25.

Up to 100 adoptable pets will be on display under a tent in the store parking lot.
