MAPS 3 Advisory Board
Public Information and marketing

The MAPS 3 Advisory Board’s function is to review proposed MAPS 3 projects and submit recommendations to City Council members.

The Advisory Board consists of 11 members.  Each of the eight council members nominates one person to represent their ward.  Nominees must be a resident of the ward they are representing at the time of appointment. Two at-large board members are appointed upon nomination by the Mayor.  One board member is a City councilperson.  Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by a vote of the council.

Subcommittees are appointed to provide additional input to the board.  The subcommittees will have a chair and co-chair from members of the board. Subcommittees will have five to nine members each and the councilmember will be an ex-officio member of each subcommittee.
The Advisory Board meets in the City Council Chamber at 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month.  Meetings are aired live on City Channel 20 and replayed at 6:30 that night.
Subcommittees for different projects are called as needed.
All Advisory Board and subcommittee meetings are open to the public.

A resolution establishing the framework for the MAPS 3 Citizens Advisory Board was approved on March 2, 2010.
