He was born in Oklahoma City in 1957 and is a member of the Creek (Muscogee) Nation, Sweet Potato Clan. His great grandfather participated in the Land Run of 1889.
Moore is a Fellow and Board Member of the National Sculpture Society and is the Artist in Residence and Professor of figurative Sculpture at the University of Oklahoma.
Over his career he has sculpted more than 100 commissions for numerous municipal, corporate, private and international institutions. His work is in the U.S. Capitol Collection and the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.
Some of his work installed in Oklahoma includes the University of Oklahoma’s iconic “Seed Sower” and the statue of Johnny Bench at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. His largest sculpture until this project was “On the Chisholm Trail,” A Monument to the American Cowboy, unveiled in 1998 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
