The Information Technology Department is responsible for providing organizational support for technology-based communication and information systems.

It helps departments identify and select alternatives; coordinate the acquisition and implementation of selected systems; and develop systems which enable the City to deliver efficient and effective services to citizens.
IT manages the City's telephone system.
Information Technology also manages communications maintenance for the Fire Department.
