Mr. McAtee said the All College Basketball Classic was a fantastic event Saturday night. He complimented the Mayor on the promo spot he did for Oklahoma City.
Mayor Humphreys said Tim Brassfield at All Sports asked him to do the promotional spot. The Mayor thanked Cox Communications for producing the spot without a fee.
Ms. Brooks said there was a wonderful article in Sunday's paper about the Ford Center. The article stated the NCAA Basketball Association is very enthusiastic about Oklahoma City and the Ford Center.
Mayor Humphreys said thanks should be given to OU and OSU for agreeing to trade dates to be able to come to the Classic. They came to the City at some financial sacrifice to their own schools.
Mayor Humphreys thanked Vice Mayor Brent Rinehart for chairing the meeting last week and said he heard it went well.
Mr. Rinehart thanked Mayor Humphreys for his comments.
Mr. Foshee said the Mayor did a great job on the All College event and thought the commercials put Oklahoma City in a wonderful light. The Ford Center looked great and was packed with people, which looked very impressive.
Mr. Foshee congratulated the University of Oklahoma for their win over Washington State at the Rose Bowl
Mr. Foshee thanked the Blazers for all the courtesies shown to his daughter when she sang the National Anthem at a hockey game. His son-in-law also attended. Mr. Foshee thanked the fans for all the wonderful comments afterwards.
Ms. Johnson said she felt honored to receive so many expressions of sympathy on the passing of her mother. She thanked all the people who attended the funeral on Saturday.
Ms. Johnson congratulated Councilman McAtee on his appointment to the Human Development Steering Committee for the National League of Cities.
Mr. Foshee requested an update of repairs at SW 89th Street and Western Avenue. Paul Brum, Public Works Director, reported all the curbs and gutters will be finished this week. The entire project should be finished within thirty days from today.
XI.Citizens to be Heard.
Steve Flores, 3709 NW 59th Street, spoke about littering and asked the Council to use inspectors to warn and fine repeat litterers.
