Mark Stonecipher was elected to his first term as Ward 8 Councilman in March 2015.
Mark is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City. He graduated from Heritage Hall, received his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma City University, and his Jurist Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. He is an attorney with Fellers, Snider Law Firm and practices in the areas of oil and gas, land use, environmental, and business litigation. Mark and his wife Debbie also own a small independent Oklahoma Oil and Gas Company.
He is currently serving as a member of the Oklahoma City Finance committee, Oklahoma City Municipal Facilities Authority, Oklahoma City Public Property Authority, Oklahoma City Riverfront Redevelopment Authority, Council Committee on Economic Development, and Oklahoma City representative to the Oklahoma Municipal league.
Councilman Stonecipher served as President of two neighborhood associations. He believes that strong Neighborhood Associations are the most vital part of a successful Oklahoma City.
Mark’s current and past membership in civic and professional and organizations include: The Oklahoma City Board of Adjustment, Oklahoma City Charter Review Task Force, City Care, Whiz Kids, Downtown OKC Rotary, Oklahoma Bar Association Board of Governors, University of Oklahoma College of Law Alumni Association, and Oklahoma City University Alumni Association.
Mark and his wife Debbie of 33 years have two sons. His 84 year old mother RoseAnne, is an active Ward 8 Resident and supporter.
