He and his wife Pam have two sons, Jake and Clint, and four dogs. David
has over 35 years of experience in public accounting providing auditing,
income tax and consulting services. He is a partner with McGladrey, LLP.
David received a B.S. degree in accounting from Oklahoma City University and an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. In 2013, he graduated from the Executives in State and Local Government program at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He regularly contributes articles to various business publications and served as an expert resource person for the White House Conference on Small Business. Mr. Greenwell often serves as lecturer and presenter at the Oklahoma Tax Institute and other conferences and seminars. He previously served as the liaison between the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
David currently serves on the Social Services, the Trails, the Audit, and the Judiciary Committees of the Oklahoma City Council as well as the Oklahoma City Redevelopment Authority, and is trustee of the Oklahoma City Airport Trust and Central Oklahoma Parking and Transportation Authority. He is also a frequent rider on our City’s bus system.
In the community, David serves on the board of directors of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Good Shepherd Ministries, and the Committee of 100; and is a member of Rotary Club #29, and Leadership Oklahoma City Alumni Association (Class V). David and Pam are active members of St. Luke’s - Asbury Campus – Church, where both teach Bible classes.
Mr. Greenwell is a past inductee into the Capitol Hill High School Athletic and Activities Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma City Community College Hall of Fame, a past recipient of the AICPA’s Public Service Award and the Outstanding CPA of Oklahoma City Award from the OSCPA.
