City Auditor
The City Auditor is appointed by the City Council to evaluate procedures and practices ensuring that City and certain public trust:
- Operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, in a manner consistent with the intended objectives of the City Council and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Resources, including funds, contractual rights, property and personnel, are adequately safeguarded
- Financial and management records and reports, accurately and completely disclose information necessary to assess the City’s financial position and operating results

The City Council adopts a three-year Audit Plan for the Office of the City Auditor, the most recent of which is located here.
The City Auditor also prepares an annual report for the City Council summarizing operating results for the Office of the City Auditor. The most recent annual report can be found here.
Office of the City Auditor operations are conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards. These standards require that the Office undergo a peer review every three years.
