HOMICIDE # 21 OF 2012
VICTIM: FEMALE (NOT YET IDENTIFIED)
SUSPECT: IN CUSTODY (NOT YET IDENTIFIED)

This morning (March 16th) at approximately 10:20, police were called to the Metro Transit Bus Station (402 NW 5th) in reference to a stabbing. Officers arrived, and located the victim inside of the station. She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
A security guard for the bus station took one person into custody before officers arrived. Investigators will be speaking with this person, and trying to determine exactly what led up to this incident. Obviously, this is a busy location and we believe there could have potentially been additional witnesses who left before officers got to the scene.
