Technical Assistance
The Brownfields Coordinator can assist individuals participating in all states of the redevelopment process, including current or prospective property owners, lenders, investors, brokers, architects, engineers, planners, environmental consultants, developers, attorneys, and non-profit entities.

Site Assessments
The Brownfields Program can facilitate Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and Phase III Cleanup Plans on priority redevelopment sites. The site assessments can be funded through the City’s EPA grants, or from Targeted Brownfields Assessments performed by the DEQ or EPA.

Remediation
The City’s Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund (BCRLF) can provide low interest loans for remediation of Brownfields, including indoor contaminants such as asbestos. The BCRLF was capitalized by an EPA grant in the fall of 2005.

Outreach
The Brownfields Program performs outreach on a variety of environmental subjects related to redevelopment. Please contact the City’s Brownfields Coordinator for speaking or training engagements.
