The mission of the Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department is to provide parks, recreational and cultural services to Oklahoma City residents and visitors so they can enjoy an enhanced quality of life
.


Our Recreation Division provides recreation and education programs at parks, athletic fields, lakes, nature areas and community centers. Youth and adult fitness, afterschool programs, aquatics, senior activities and performing arts are a few of the diverse programs offered at our recreation facilities.

With an emphasis on beautification, the Horticulture and Gardens Division manages our specialty parks and grounds, including the Will Rogers Horticulture Gardens, the Bricktown Canal, the downtown Civic Center complex and Martin Park Nature Center.

Grounds Management mows and maintains more than 6,900 land acres throughout Oklahoma City, and plants hundreds of trees every year. It's also responsible for maintenance of along the Oklahoma River.

The Civic Center division manages the state's premier performing arts facility, the Civic Center Music Hall. Since 1937, this historic building has played host to countless events and performances from around the globe. Currently, the Music Hall serves over 300,000 patrons annually at its shows and special events. The division also manages events at the Rose State Performing Arts Center in Midwest City.
