In an era of instantaneous communication, Public Information and Marketing has emerged as a vital core service of City government.
We help citizens better access and understand City services and policies. The City uses a variety of media to communicate with citizens. Some of the communication services PIM provides are:
Mass Media - PIM is responsible for media relations and provides ongoing background and accurate. timely information to reporters, in addition to formal news releases. Media are an important conduit for getting information to the general public.

City Channel 20 - City Channel 20 is your government access channel, provided as a part of the City's franchise agreement with Cox Cable.
City Channel 20 is always on, with a variety of live and taped public meetings, news programs, and interesting interviews hosted by the Mayor and by Council members.

okc.gov - The City web site has more than 1000 pages and receives about 170,000 individual visits a month. Large documents such as the budget and changing information, from City Council and other City board, trust or commission agendas to the weekly animal shelter pet photos and listings, are posted on the site. Downloadable forms, e-mail, online Action Center service requests are among the interactive features.
In addition, okc.gov has become an invaluable resource for reporters seeking in-depth information about City government and services.

CityNews Citizen Newsletter - mailed with water bills. The two-page newsletter was designed in a quick reference, easy-to-read format to inform citizens of the most important and timely City government information. Content is restricted to City information only and every effort is made to keep content useful and timely.
Other Publications - PIM publishes News to Know, a quick weekly read of timely and useful information for City employees.

We also produce a variety of brochures, flyers, and documents. We operate our own print shop, so we can follow through on many publications from first draft to finished product.

Action Center - The Action Center is the City's central source for requesting City services, information and referral. The Action Center staff is a valuable source of information on who to call for help or where to find information for just about any need or subject.
Other Services include: Central office services include print shop and mail room, developing and implementing marketing campaigns, cable TV franchise administration, video documentaries, promotions and photography, employee recognition programs, event coordination.
